Deputy PM lauds ties with Germany

The Deputy PM spokehighly of the two countries’ coming launch of the Vietnamese Alumni inGermany on May 10, adding that it will create chances for Vietnamesestudents who have studied in Germany to share and recall their timespent in the country.

Nhan urged Vietnam andGermany to upgrade their cooperation in education and scientificresearch in order to match the two countries’ strategic partnership.

He highly valued the performance of DAAD’s office in Vietnam in thepast time, and expressed hope that it and the Secretary General herselfwill grant more scholarships for Vietnamese students, organisepostgraduate courses in Vietnam , and support research and internshipcourses in Germany .

For her part, Ruland praisedVietnam and Germany’s cooperative achievements, and hopes to acceleratethe multifaceted ties between the two countries, including those ineducation and training.-VNA

Vietnam, Cambodia step up defence cooperation

Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet said his country values defence cooperation with Vietnam, pledging to support and facilitate Vietnam’s efforts to locate and repatriate the remains of the volunteer soldiers. Brazilian President begins state visit to Vietnam
