Deputy Standing Prime Minister Nguyen Sinh Hung on July 21 received Preneet Kaur, Indian Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.
At the event, Preneet Kaur congratulated Vietnam on the achievements it has made during the recent socio-economic development period and also in its role of ASEAN chairman.
She said she believed that through the 43 rd ASEAN Foreign Ministerial Meeting, the cooperative and friendly ties between India and Vietnam and between India and ASEAN will be strongly fostered.
In response, Deputy PM Hung expressed his pleasure at the traditional relations between the two countries which are developing more and more since being elevated to a strategic partnership.
He said that once the Free Trade Agreement is signed, the trade relations between the two countries will be further promoted to match the potential of the both sides.
He also welcomed the project to build an Indian Culture Centre in Vietnam./.
