At the event, Preneet Kaur congratulated Vietnam on theachievements it has made during the recent socio-economic developmentperiod and also in its role of ASEAN chairman.

Shesaid she believed that through the 43 rd ASEAN Foreign MinisterialMeeting, the cooperative and friendly ties between India and Vietnam andbetween India and ASEAN will be strongly fostered.

In response, Deputy PM Hung expressed his pleasure at the traditionalrelations between the two countries which are developing more and moresince being elevated to a strategic partnership.

Hesaid that once the Free Trade Agreement is signed, the trade relationsbetween the two countries will be further promoted to match thepotential of the both sides.

He also welcomed theproject to build an Indian Culture Centre in Vietnam./.
