A group of young disabled people will take on the challenge of conquering Mount Fansipan in an event that draws people from all walks of life to the famous destination in northern Vietnam.
The "Conquering Fansipan Together" event started on June 20 in Sa Pa Town, Lao Cai province and aims to promote the inclusion of disabled people in society.
The four-day event is co-organised by Medical Committee Netherlands-Vietnam (MCNV) and the Royal Netherlands Embassy in Vietnam.
Joining the young, disabled mountaineers are people from MCNV, the embassy as well as central and local authorities, who are stakeholders in inclusive development, teaming up to reach Fansipan's peak.
This event is one of many activities celebrating the 45th year of MCNV in Vietnam and 40 years of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Netherlands.-VNA
