Hanoi (VNA) – A live music show and auction of handmade items made by handicapped people from Thuong Thuong Centre will be held on April 17 in Hanoi’s Cau Giay District.

The liveshow aims to encourage disabled people to express their talents and their spirit to overcome difficulties in lives.

The event also aims to celebrate Vietnam’s Day for the Disabled, April 18.

All of the money collected from the auction will be injected to the Living with Passion Fund to build a kindergarten in the northwestern province of Lai Chau’s Lang Hamlet, said Thuong Thuong, head of the centre.

“I hope society, our guests and donors such as Unilever Vietnam will continue to support and help handicapped people have better lives,” she said.

The show, which will be performed by singers from Thuong Thuong and other handicapped centres in Hanoi and will feature professional singers including Minh Thu, Duy Khoa, Quang Thang and the BMC music band.

The show will take place on the third floor of 25T2 Building, Hoang Dao Thuy Street, Cau Giay District.-VNA
