Domain name .vn registration low among Vietnamese firms
Only a low proportion of Vietnamese companies have registered their domain name using “.vn”, according to the Vietnam Internet Network Information Centre.

Figures released by the centre at a workshop held in Dong Nai on August 7 revealed that until only 182,000 .vn domain names have been registered and each firm often registers more than one name.
Vietnam currently has over 500,000 Vietnamese firms which means the proportion of firms with domain names .vn is very low.
Tran Minh Tan, Director of the centre, said registering domain names .vn is carried out in line with international practices and that enterprises should pay attention to the issue for their own interest.-VNA
