“Don’t burn!” – a film of director Dang Nhat Minh, was shown on May 1 at the Vietnam Culture Centre in Paris for a full room of nearly 100 viewers, who are both Vietnamese and French people.
After the film, the audience had an opportunity to join in discussions with director Dang Nhat Minh. They expressed respect towards Dang Thuy Tram, the central character and also the army doctor who had dedicated her life to the country during the Vietnam war.
The film made its first debut in France late last month during the Vietnamese film programme to celebrate the country’s 35th anniversary of the Southern Liberation Day and national reunification.
“Don’t burn” is expected to be screened in other large cities of France like Lyon and Toulouse./.
