Early election approved in Quang Nam province

Voters in the central province of Quang Nam will cast their ballots in 49 locations on May 19, three days earlier than the Election Day as approved by the National Election Council.

Quang Nam (VNA) – Voters in the central province of Quang Nam will cast their ballots in 49 locations on May 19, three days earlier than the Election Day as approved by the National Election Council.

Early voting will take place in 28 locations in Cho Chun, La EE, La Dee, Dac Toi, Dac Pre, Dac Pring and Zuooih in Nam Giang district, five locations in Ch’om, Ga Ri and A Vuong in Tay Giang district, one location in Thang Binh district as well as five others in Tan Hiep commune in Hoi An city. They are remote, border and island areas with poor transport infrastructure.

The National Election Council asked the provincial council to guide the election of deputies to the 14th National Assembly and all-level People’s Councils of the 2016-2021 tenure in line with regulations.-VNA

NA approves new Vice Chairpersons, members of National Election Council

The legislature approved the appointment of Politburo member and NA Vice Chairman Do Van Chien as Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Election Council and head of its Personnel Sub-committee; and Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai as Vice Chairwoman.
