A 6.0-magnitude earthquake rocked North Sulawesi province in the eastern part of Indonesia on June 16, but it was unlikely to cause tsunami and casualties.
According to the Indonesia Meteorology and Geophysics Agency, the quake struck at 4:04am (Jakarta time) with epicenter at 71km northeast Sangihe Island and with the depth at 71km under seabed.
Previously at 00:40 am (Jakarta time), another quake measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale struck off East Nusa Tenggara province in central part of Indonesia.
It was centered at 64 km southeast of the province and with the depth at 65km under seabed without causing any damage.
