Can Tho (VNA) - The Electricity of Vietnam Generation Corporation No. 2 (EVNGenco2) inked a strategic cooperation agreement with Sembcorp Industries of Singapore to explore a strategic partnership onJuly 11 in Can Tho city.

The signing ceremony was held both online and in person with theparticipation of the Vietnamese Ambassador to Singapore, the Consulate Generalof Singapore in Ho Chi Minh City, and representatives of relevant authorities.

The document focuses on several key areas of cooperation such as corporategovernance, digital transformation and renewable energy projects in Vietnam. Those are Sembcorp Industries’ strong fields and the developmentstrategy orientation of EVNGenco2 in the coming time. Therefore, EVNGenco2 viewsthe strategic cooperation with Sembcorp a top priority in its efforts to realiseits development goals./.

Finance ministry eyes flexible tax thresholds

In a draft law amending several articles of the laws on personal income tax, corporate income tax and value-added tax, Vietnam's finance ministry proposed scrapping the fixed revenue threshold of 500 million VND. Instead, it suggested the threshold be set by the Government based on prevailing economic conditions.
