Tel Aviv (VNA) – Vietnamese Ambassadorto Israel Ly Duc Trung on October 12 called for the establishment of workinggroups among the Vietnamese community in Israel to support each other amidstthe current conflict.

In a letter sent to Vietnamese living, working andstudying in Israel, the ambassador stressed the escalating violence betweenHamas and Israel with complex, unpredictable developments.

In just a short time, the number of casualties hasincreased, with many civilians killed, injured and missing, he said, addingthat the material and spiritual life as well as daily activities of residents inmany places have been severely affected.

Given this, the diplomat conveyed the regards of theembassy’s staff and people at home to the Vietnamese community in Israel.

He said the embassy has closely coordinated withcompetent ministries and agencies, both at home and in Israel, in citizen protection,ensuring security and safety of life and property of the Vietnamese community there.

Trung hoped that the conflict will soon cometo an end, so that none will have to suffer more pains and losses of the war.

As Vietnamese people are residing in different areasin Israel, the working groups will provide information for the embassy’semergency response steering committee to give specific guidelines when necessary,he said.

About 500 Vietnamese people are living and workingin Israel, mainly in big cities. Besides, hundreds of Vietnamese students havecome to the country to study each year./.

Coast Guard Region 2 promotes IUU-free fishing among Quang Ngai fishermen

The Command of Coast Guard Region 2 briefed the fishermen on the Law of the Sea of Vietnam, the Fisheries Law, and legal documents related to IUU prevention.
