The National Assembly’s Council for Ethnic Affairs convened its fifth plenary meeting in Hanoi on February 21 to give their feedback on the draft amendments to the 1992 Constitution.
Participants reviewed and contributed their ideas to the ethnic affairs set under the draft revised 1992 Constitution in the spirit of the 10 th and 11 th National Party Congresses’ Resolutions.
They also gave opinions on the rights of ethnic people to choose ethnic groups to which they belong, preserve and develop culture and education, the National Assembly’s rights to issue ethnic policies as well as the supplement and amendments to the function, mission and tasks of the Council.-VNA
