Held for the first time in London on
August 10, under the auspices of the Vietnamese Embassy and the
Vietnamese Association in the UK (VAUK), Mai Am Viet encouraged
participants to help each other in daily life and in integrating into
the host country.
The programme is also meant to serve as a
common playground where the Vietnamese in the UK meet and speak
Vietnamese, thus becoming more united in community affairs, said Son
Thanh, VAUK President. For the aims, the event will be held every three months, Thanh added.
