Exhibition on historic August days in Hanoi

An exhibition on historic August days is taking place in Hanoi. The event showcases the enduring spirit of the Vietnamese people in defending and building the nation.

The exhibition is themed “The August Revolution of 1945 - A Historic Milestone”. It features over 300 selected documents, aiming to commemorate the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2.

The event is open to the public until September 5 at the Hanoi Library in Hanoi.

The exhibit is divided into several key sections: The Party’s leadership and its role in revolutionary struggles; The August Revolution as a pivotal moment in national history; The Declaration of Independence and the formation of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam; and the journey from the August Revolution to the country's renewal efforts.

A standout feature of the display is the focus on President Ho Chi Minh’s leadership during the 1930-1945 period. It also emphasizes the people's fight for power through revolutionary waves and the uprisings led by the Party leading up to and during the August Revolution of 1945./.
