Phnom Penh (VNA) -
A delegation fromthe Vietnamese Embassy as well as agencies and businesses in Cambodia paidtribute to martyrs at the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Monument in Phnom Penh onJuly 27, on the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of War Invalids andMartyrs Day.

Tens of thousands of Vietnamese volunteersoldiers and experts fell during wartime in Cambodia and many sets of remainsstill lie in the neighbouring country.

Similar activities also took place atVietnam-Cambodia Friendship Monuments in other Cambodian localities, such as PreahSihanouk and Battambang provinces.

Some 22 friendship monuments have beenbuilt across Cambodia in tribute to Vietnamese volunteer soldiers who sacrificedin the country during wartime.

On July 25, the remains of 149 Vietnamesesoldiers were reburied at Hill 82 martyr’scemetery in Tan Bien district, southwestern Tay Ninh province.

The Vietnamese and Cambodian Governmentsare expected to complete search and repatriation efforts this year./.

Ministry of Home Affairs to apply KPIs in public employee evaluation

The Ministry of Home Affairs will accelerate reforms under the theme “breakthrough momentum,” focusing on institutional improvement and resource mobilization. Public order crime drops 22.55% in first half

In the field of economic crime, 2,096 cases involving 4,194 suspects were prosecuted in the first half. For corruption and position-related crimes, 370 cases and 1,042 suspects were brought to trial. Meanwhile, police uncovered 11,687 drug-related cases involving 22,863 individuals.
