Hanoi (VNA) – Travel companies in Vietnam are working at full capacity to serve the demands of fans hoping to watch their Olympic football team play live at the ASIAD semifinal match in Indonesia on August 29.

Vietnam defeated Syria 1-0 in the quarterfinal match of the ongoing Asian Games 2018 (ASIAD) on August 27. The only goal was scored in the 108th minute by Van Toan (number 8), who replaced striker Cong Phuong in the 82nd minute.

Vietnam will meet the Republic of Korea in the semifinals at 4 pm on August 29. This is the first time Vietnam has entered the semifinals in ASIAD football.

As the date approaches, tours bringing Vietnamese fans to Indonesia to support their players are quickly becoming sold out.

Le Cong Nang, head of the marketing and communication department at Vietrantour, said the company is operating a two day and one night tour to Jakarta costing 15.9 million VND (683.7 USD) per person, with fans receiving Vietnam flag T-shirts, hats, and banners as gifts.

Nang noted that there were not many seats remaining on the tour, and that Vietrantour is negotiating for more spaces.
