Fatherland Front launches e-newspaper

The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) launched the new online version of its Dai Doan Ket (Great Unity) newspaper at www.daidoanket.vn on June 18.

The e-newspaper is developed from theexisting e-portal, adding two independent news pages. The pageVNTinnhanh will provide latest information for readers while Kieubao,which will go into operation next month, will receive and post opinionsand recommendations of Vietnamese around the world on building thecountry.

President of the VFF Central CommitteeNguyen Thien Nhan said with pride that the Dai Doan Ket newspaper, whosepredecessor was the Cuu Quoc (National Salvation) newspaper, was thefirst to publish the Declaration of Independence and the firstConstitution.

The launching of the e-newspaperis an important step in bringing the voices of the Party and State tothe people and connecting the society with the VFF, he stated.

The online newspaper will also create a forum for Vietnamese peopleboth at home and abroad to contribute their ideas to the country’snation-building and safeguarding process, he added.-VNA
