Hanoi (VNA) – Fifty-six clubs nationwide will compete at the National Taekwondo Club Championships – the Republic of Korea (RoK) Ambassador Cup 2024, scheduled to take place in northern Lao Cai province from September 11 to 19.
This is one of the official tournaments in the national competition system, and also a good chance for finding talents for national teams, the organising board announced on September 9.
The championship attracts more than 1,000 coaches and athletes.
They will compete in more than 100 events of poomsae (performance) and kyorugi (combat) in four different age groups ranging from U12 to over 17 years old.
Choi Seung-jin, Director of the RoK Cultural Centre, said taekwondo is one of the focuses in sports exchanges between the two countries. Through the Ambassador Cup, organisers expect to create fair competitions for athletes to help improve Vietnam’s sports achievements in the international arena in both short and long terms./.

The Vietnamese diving team finished among the top rankings at the 18th CMAS Finswimming World Cup 2024 Round 4 in Phuket, Thailand, with 26 gold medals, 27 silvers, and 16 bronzes, after three days of exciting and intense competition.
