Vietnam’s first electric textbook made its debut under the name of Classbook in Hanoi on June 26.
Developed by the Vietnam Education Publishing House, the 8-inch touch-screen device contains the full content of traditional textbooks from grade 1 to 12, plus a number of reference books in accordance with the curriculum standards of the Ministry of Education and Training.
The content can be updated free of charge.
In addition, the product offers over 20 selective applications assisting users in different subjects and at different grades.
Classbook users can also take advantage of an online library namely Classbook Store with a wide variety of textbooks and reference materials.
The e-book was developed in preparation for a plan to renovate textbooks after 2015.-VNA
