Cuong Vu, winner of two Grammy awards, was the first Vietnamese Grammy awardwinner. He won for Best Contemporary Jazz Album, through his work with the PatMetheny band.
He is currently associate professor and chair of jazz studies at the Universityof Washington. He was awarded the prestigious Distinguished Teacher Award inhis third year on the faculty.
Vu is also widely recognised by jazz critics as a leader of a generation ofinnovative musicians.
Before the concert, customers will have the privilege of a 60-minute chat withVu to talk about his journey with jazz as both an artist and an educator.
Tickets are 400,000 to 600,000 VND per person, with a 10 percent discount forstudents.-VNA
