The seized rhino horn (Photo: VNA) HCM City (VNA) – The customs at Tan Son Nhat international airport in Ho Chi Minh City, in coordination with the police, has seized seven pieces of rhino horn weighing nearly 5 kg.
The airport customs section said on April 16 that the rhino horns, worth over 6 billion VND (263,940 USD), were discovered in the luggage of two passengers on a flight from Africa to Vietnam.
The two passengers were a 34 year–old woman and a 21 year– old man, who hid the horns in hand luggage, household appliances and speakers.
Custom officials of Tan Son Nhat airport are coordinating with authorised agencies to further investigate the case.-VNA
