Hundreds of flower markets have opened across Ho Chi Minh City, showcasing and selling flowers for Tet holiday which comes in less than a week.

Hundreds of flower markets have opened across Ho Chi Minh City, showcasing and selling flowers for Tet holiday which comes in less than a week.

 

The flower market at September 23rd Park in District 1 is one of three city-level flower markets. The market gathers hundreds of traders, supplying flowers for Tet.

Many local residents come to the market on its opening day to choose their favourite flowers and avoid the crowds.

Besides typical flowers for Tet holiday such as apricot blossom, daisy, and roses, other large flower markets held at parks including Le Van Tam and Gia Dinh also display thousands of peach blossom which were delivered from famous flower gardens in Hanoi.

During this time, more than 100 flower markets have been opened citywide , most of the flowers are delivered from famous flower villages such as Sa Dec- Dong Thap, Cho Lach – Ben Tre.

Visiting spring flower market during these days has become a beautiful tradition of many families. Besides buying colourful spring flowers, it’s also a chance for people to enjoy the Tet’s boisterous atmosphere and hoping for a new year with lots of luck in the year ahead.-VNA
