US motor giant Ford, through its branch TT Ford Motor Indonesia (FMI),has officially opened a new sales and distribution facility inIndonesia’s province of West Java.
The newoutlet, Ford’s largest of its kind in ASEAN, is part of the firm’sstrategic development plan to take advantage of opportunities and meetthe strong consumption demand of Indonesia, which aims to outgo Thailandto become a leading auto market in ASEAN, said Ford ASEAN PresidentMatt Bradley.
According to FMI managing directorBagus Susanto, the showroom of the new facility covers an area of 4,700sq.m at the Bekasi industrial centre.
This outletwill open additional nine other showrooms on Java island to introduceFord’s latest Fiesta, which will made its debut in the Indonesian marketat the upcoming Motor Show in Jakarta in September.-VNA
