Hundreds of foreign businesses from countries and territories over the world are converging in a number of international exhibitions that were all together opened on Nov. 10 in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
In Hanoi, the Vietnam Textile and Garment Expo 2010 is taking place at the Friendship Culture Palace till Nov. 12.
The exhibition is co-organised by the Vietnam Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex), the Vietnam Exhibition, Conference and Advertisement Joint Stock Company and the Hong Kong Exhibition Services Ltd. Co.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Thanh Bien said Vietnam with its textile and garment export turnover reaching 9.1 billion USD in 2009 has become one of attractive destinations for the world’s businesses.
The industry targets to turn Vietnam into one of top five textile and garment exporters in the world by 2015, Bien said, stressing that the partnership with leading businesses in the world plays an important role in the industry’s success in future.
At the exhibition, more than 110 domestic and foreign businesses, including those from developed industries of France, Germany, China, India, Italy, Japan, Sweden and Switzerland, are introducing their latest products, technologies and services.
Meanwhile, in HCM City, VIETSTOCK, the international expo for the feed, livestock and meat processing industry, sees the demonstration of 220 pavilions of products, equipment and technologies from the world’s leading food suppliers from 30 countries and territories.
During the exhibition, also lasting to Nov. 12, international experts will share their experiences in breeding and meat processing technologies at a series of seminars.
VIETWATER, an international water and wastewater industry show, is jointly being held by the Vietnam Drainage Association in coordination with the AMB Company.
Under the theme “Green technology for a sustainable water industry”, businesses introduce hundreds of latest environmentally-friendly products and advanced technologies related to water supply and drainage, environmental hygiene, water filling and wastewater treatment.
