Foreign investors interested in North-South Expressway component project

Hanoi (VNA) – The management board of the North-SouthExpressway project will issue prequalificationdocuments to bidders of the National Highway 45-Nghi Son section of theproject from May 8 to July 8, according to Cao Viet Hung, head of the board’sPlanning Office.

Hung said that so far, along with domestic firms, a numberof foreign investors, including those from the Republic of Korea, France andJapan, have shown interest in the project.

The project will be implemented in the public-privatepartnership (PPP) format.

According to the Ministry of Transport, the section from NationalHighway 45 to Nghi Son under the Eastern North-South Expressway is 43 km inlength, with a total investment of about 6.3 trillion VND (207.9 million USD), withthe State budget funding about 2 trillion VND (86 million USD).

The654 km Eastern North-South Expressway project in the 2017-2020 period has a totalinvestment of over 118.71 trillion VND (5.1 billion USD), with 55 trillion VND (2.36billion USD) sourced from the state budget.

Quang Ninh gives nod to first offshore wind power plant
