Foreign leaders offer congratulations on Party General Secretary’s birthday

Hanoi (VNA) – On the occasion of Party GeneralSecretary Nguyen Phu Trong's birthday on April 14, leaders ofcountries and political parties including those from Laos, China, Cuba, Russia,Belarus, and Dominica, have sent letters and messages of congratulations to the Vietnamese Party chief.

The leaders of countries and political parties congratulated Vietnam on its outstanding achievements in national construction anddevelopment under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam led by Trong. They affirmed that they will keep workingwith the Vietnamese Party leader to grow bilateral relations.

Party General Secretary and President of Laos ThonglounSisoulith emphasised that Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trongpays great attention and actively contributes to cultivating the greatfriendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, States and people of Laos and Vietnam.

General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) CentralCommittee and President of China Xi Jinping affirmedthat he "attaches great importance to China-Vietnam relations andis ready to work with Trong to maintainstrategic exchanges and the orientation to develop Vietnam-China community with ashared future.

First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba Central Committeeand President of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel stressed that "NguyenPhu Trong's contributions are decisive in leading the Communist Party ofVietnam on the path of building socialism in Vietnam".

Russian President Vladimir Putin also appreciated theinvaluable contributions of the Vietnamese Party General Secretary to thedevelopment of the Russia-Vietnam comprehensive strategic partnership.Russian Prime Minister M. Mishustin and Chairman of theUnited Russia Party (URP) and Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of RussiaDmitry Medvedev emphasisedTrong’s great contribution to consolidating the friendship, mutualunderstanding, and comprehensive strategic partnership between the twocountries. Chairman of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation G.Zyuganov affirmed that Trong’s life is associated with the growth and increasing prestige of theCommunist Party of Vietnam in the international arena./.

Vietnamese Party leader receives Thai Prime Minister

Vietnam, Senegal enhance cooperation across key sectors

In the first four months of 2025, Vietnam’s exports to Senegal stood at 43.43 million USD, nearly equalling the total for 2024 (43.91 million USD). Vietnam mainly exports rice, pepper, agricultural products, and components, while its imports from Senegal include raw cashew nuts, fishmeal, seafood, and cotton.
