Hanoi (VNA) - The InvestigationPolice Department under the Ministry of Public Security has decided to start legalproceedings against and detain Pham Nhat Vu, former Chairman of the Audio VisualGlobal JSC (AVG), for “giving bribes”.
Thedecision was made on April 12 in accordance with Clause 4, Article 364 of the2015 Penal Code, the ministry said on April 13.
Itis part of an ongoing investigation into violations in the management and useof public investment capital causing serious consequences at MobiFoneTelecommunications Corporation and relevant agencies.
Thesame day, the department decided to probe into Nguyen Bac Son, Truong MinhTuan, Le Nam Tra and Cao Duy Hai for “receiving bribes” in the AVG case in linewith Clause 4, Article 354 of the 2015 Penal Code.
Anarrest warrant was also issued for Vo Van Manh, Director of AMAX Valuation& Investment Consultancy Company Ltd, for “violating regulations onmanagement and use of public investment capital causing serious consequences”as prescribed in Article 220 of the 2015 Penal Code. Manh served as anaccomplice in this case.
Theabove-mentioned decisions and orders were approved by the Supreme People’s Procuracythe same day, and implemented by the Investigation Police Department on April12 and 13.
Thedepartment is mobilising forces to push ahead with the investigation into thecase.-VNA
