The Ministry of Justice and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) held the third Judicial Policy Dialogue Forum on law to handle administrative violations, in Hanoi on June 22.

Deputy Minister of Justice Hoang The Lien said the regular event aimed to fully study the theory and reality of building laws on handling administration violations, meeting the demand on constructing, developing and completing the legal system, in line with guidelines to build the State of law within the trend of international integration and better ensure citizens rights.

The Ministry of Justice was assigned to coordinate with relevant agencies to study and compile the law to handle administrative violations, Lien said, adding that it was the only project selected in 2009 for pilot support by United Nations under the One UN mechanism.

The forum would be an opportunity for international delegates to share experiences in handling administrative violations, said Christophe Bahuet, UNDP Deputy Country Director.

At the forum, participants discussed topics on new points of the draft law, orders and procedures to handle administrative violations and other procedural measures./.
