Four drown in Binh Thuan sea

Four tourists drowned to their death and two others are still missing when swimming in the sea in Dat Lanh tourism site in La Gi town, the central province of Binh Thuan, on August 10.

BinhThuan (VNA) - Four tourists drowned to their death and two othersare still missing when swimming in the sea in Dat Lanh tourism site in La Gitown, the central province of Binh Thuan, on August 10.

According to Secretary of the La Gi Party Committee Pham Van Nam, these victimsare employees of a company in Binh Duong province who travelled together to LaGi town.

At around 17:00 on August 10, it rained heavily, yet the tourists still went tothe sea.

Therough with strong waves swept these tourists away. The four who were broughtashore died before being taken to the hospital.

Theprovincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism on August 11 issued anurgent dispatch on measures to strengthen drowning prevention in the locality.

It asked travel agencies  and tourismsite management boards in Binh Thuan to inspect, review and continue tostrengthen equipments and forces to ensure efficiency of search and rescue workin case of bad weather.

Accordingto the La Gi town People’s Committee, the search for the two missing touristsis underway.-VNA

Memorial service held for 731 fallen soldiers in Ho Chi Minh City

From June 23 to October 5, Team K74 and other forces recovered 731 sets of martyrs’ remains from the park. Biological samples and DNA samples collected from relatives of unidentified fallen soldiers are being analysed and stored in the national gene bank to support identification efforts.
