FPT steps up cooperation with French groups

Paris (VNA) – Vietnamese Ambassador to France Nguyen Ngoc Son hopedthat FPT Corporation, a Vietnamese information technology company, and Frenchenterprises will sign cooperation agreements, especially in information andtechnology service supply.

He made the statement during a conference held by FPT Corporation, FrenchIE-Club company and La Poste Group in Paris on April 26. The event was attendedby nearly 130 directors of French groups and start-ups.

Lauding the Vietnamese company for opening a branch in France, Son said thatFPT’s presence in the European nation will enhance cooperation between the twocountries.

The Vietnamese Government hopes to train one million programmers each year tocatch up with the 4th industrial revolution, he said, adding thattechnology is among six key spheres that Vietnam wants to collaborate withFrance.

FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh affirmed that his company wants to join hands withFrench enterprises to promote the 4th industrial revolution.

FPT has worked with large technology partners like IBM, Microsoft, GE Digital,Siemen and AWS in human resource training to meet demands of the revolution.

The firm’s three cooperative models with French partners were introduced at theevent, including software outsourcing service, a plant applying digitalconversion services and product research and development for the Vietnamesemarket.

For his part, President of La Poste Group Philippe Wahl stressed thatcooperation with Vietnam is significant in the group’s development in Asia.

Vietnam has seen stellar development in technology while FPT is a key pioneer,he added.-VNA
