Hanoi (VNA) – Advanced International JSC (AIC) has launched a free application named “9999 Tet,” helping users, especially visually-impaired people, access information about the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival.
Since its launch in late January, “9999 Tet” has attracted nearly 1 million active users and been among the most favoured applications.
Dinh Viet Anh, Vice President of the Vietnam Blind Association, highlighted social and humanitarian values of the application, and expressed her wish that it will be perfected, thus creating better access for visually-impaired people.
Nguyen Van Truong, a blind man in the northern midland province of Phu Tho, said the application has enabled people with visual impairment to study and explore the world.
The application provides users with a list of destinations, festivals and rituals in Vietnam during the first lunar month.
Established in 1999, AIC currently is operating successfully in areas such as smart nation, science and technology, firefighting and emergency response, intelligent transport system, vocational training, smart education, smart healthcare, natural resources and environment. -VNA
