Free rice to aid poor people
The Government will provide the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai
and the central province of Nghe An with 1,356 tonnes of rice from
national reserves to help poor people in these localities.

The Prime Minister directed the Ministry of Finance to supply 1,220 tonnes of rice for the poor and people in difficulty in Nghe An during the period between harvests.
Lao Cai province will receive 136 tonnes to aid local people who suffer from the impacts of natural disasters in 2013.
The Government asked the two provinces to support people who are really in need.
Earlier, the Prime Minister also requested the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to supply the two provinces of Quang Tri and Thai Binh with 50 tonnes of chlorine antiseptic from national reserves to help farmers fight against the epidemic on their shrimp.-VNA
