The central city of Hue and the Paris Wastewater Treatment Authority (SIAAP) have reached deals on the city’s drainage projects, said Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Phan Trong Vinh on June 25.
SIAAP representative has announced that its experts will present their technical solutions in July, regarding the dredging of the Ngu Ha canal and waste treatment at the Thuy Duong garbage dump so that they can be carried out in the 2011 fiscal year.
The SIAAP has also agreed to provide 5,750 EUR to the Dang Tran Con senior secondary school to build toilets this year.
Within the framework of its cooperation programme with Hue city, SIAAP has granted 130,000 EUR to upgrade the Ho Ve and Do Thanh Hoang lakes.
In addition, SIAAP has joined the International Association of Francophone Mayors (AIMF) in providing 140,000 EUR to drainage projects in the city’s Tay Loc and Thuan Loc wards./.
