Friendship activists mark China’s National Day

A gathering to mark China’s 61 st National Day (October 1) was held in Hanoi on September 30, where speeches focused on a high-level commitment to comprehensive partnership between the two countries.

The event was held by the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations and the Vietnam-China Friendship Association with the participation of senior Vietnamese officials and Chinese Ambassador Sun Guoxiang.

The President of the Vietnam-China Friendship Association, Doan Manh Dao, highlighted several mottos for bilateral relations and high-level commitments to comprehensive strategic cooperation partnership, which have led the two countries towards good neighbourliness.

Giao pledged to work with Chinese partners to hold more joint events to increase mutual understanding and trust and strengthen friendship between the two countries.

Chinese Ambassador Sun Guoxiang reiterated China ’s persistent policy towards market opening, speeding up the national construction and socialist modernisation in a comprehensive way.

As two neighbours sharing an ideology and a development goal, China and Vietnam should further develop friendship in the mutual interest of the two countries, said the Chinese diplomat.

He expressed willingness to join Vietnam in developing traditional friendship and promoting the bilateral comprehensive strategic cooperation partnership./.
