The Vietnam Furniture and Home Furnishing Fair 2014 (Vifa Home 2014) opened in Ho Chi Minh City on November 6 with a view to promoting “Made in Vietnam” furniture, home décor and handicraft products.
The event, organised by the Ho Chi Minh City Handicraft and Wood Industry Association (HAWA), offers a platform for producers, architectures, interior designers, and distributors in the field to exchange information and seek for partnership.
During the fair, producers will learn the market’s demands through discussions with designers whilst distributors will seek their stable suppliers, helping raise competitiveness of domestic products, HAWA Chairman Nguyen Quoc Khanh said.
This year’s event features 474 booths showcasing products of 115 businesses, including two from Malaysia and Croatia.
A workshop to connect producers and architectures is held as part of the fair.
Vifa Home 2014 lasts until November 9.-VNA
