The national futsal team will leave for Japan on June 7 for a short training session, in preparation for the 2015 AFF Futsal Championship.
The team will have three friendly matches with the Japanese national team and a strong club of Japan.
The Vietnamese team will include 20 players, who are training in Ho Chi Minh City's Thai Son Nam Sports Centre.
Eleven teams will compete in the AFF event that will be held in Indonesia from October 8 to 18. The top three teams of the championship will qualify for the 2016 AFC Futsal Championship.
Vietnam are in Group B, along with Australia, Laos, Myanmar and the Philippines. Group A comprises Thailand, Indonesia, Timor-Leste and Brunei, besides Malaysia and Singapore.-VNA
