HCM City (VNA) – The Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organisations and the municipal chapter of the Vietnam-Hungary Friendship Association (VHFA) held a gathering on August 20 to celebrate the National Day of Hungary (August 20) and the 20th founding anniversary of the chapter.
Chairman of the VHFA’s municipal chapter Le Minh Triet said Vietnam and Hungary enjoy a time-honoured friendship. Over the past two decades, the chapter has made practical and effective contributions to people-to-people diplomacy and cooperation between the two countries, and between the city and Hungarian localities, particularly the capital city of Budapest, he said.
Hungarian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City Balogdi Tibor expressed his delight at the growing bilateral ties, adding that Ho Chi Minh City is always a focus of cultural, education and trade exchange between the two countries.
