President of the municipal Vietnam-Bulgaria Friendship Association Hoang Thai Lan expressed delight at the strong and positive trajectory of bilateral ties across diplomacy, education, trade, investment, and people-to-people exchanges.
Nguyen Van Loi, head of the city's delegation of National Assembly deputies, recalled 65 years of Vietnam–Cuba relations, affirming Lazo Hernández visit as a vivid testament to the special bond nurtured by President Ho Chi Minh and Cuban leader Fidel Castro. He said that the city treasures the unwavering support Cuba gave Vietnam during its struggle for independence and national construction.
Over the past three decades, Vietnam has consistently stood with other ASEAN member states to deal with common challenges, from traditional and non-traditional security, climate change, and diseases to cultural, socio-economic, educational, and environmental issues.
At the local level, successive leaders of HCM City have paid due attention to fostering Vietnam–India friendship. Under their guidance and support, people-to-people exchanges between the two countries in the city have flourished across trade, tourism, culture, and education. Such activities have deepened ties and mutual understanding while bringing tangible benefits to the people of both nations.
Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1973, the bilateral relationship has continuously developed in a solid, substantive, and effective manner across various fields, including politics, diplomacy, trade, investment, development cooperation, education and training, and people-to-people exchange.
