GenZ put new coats on Hanoi street restaurants

The contest Hackathon 48h: Dress Up was held to offer a creative playground for enthusiastic young designers to make their ideas come true, contributing to developing the image of culinary culture imbued with Hanoi's identity.

Hanoi (VNA) - Hanoi is famous for its rich and diverse street food and long-standing restaurants. However, many eateries are having difficulty attracting tourists and young people because they still have simple, stereotypical restaurant designs.

The contest Hackathon 48h: Dress Up was held to offer a creative playground for enthusiastic young designers to make their ideas come true, contributing to developing the image of culinary culture imbued with Hanoi's identity.

Participating in this "delicious" challenge, dynamic young "Gen-Z" creators have renewed a series of culinary brands familiar to the capital's residents and tourists such as: Quan Thanh Dumplings, Phuong Beo wonton noodles and Bao Khanh rice rolls, with an eye-catching, modern identity without taking away their unique beauty.

Tiss Tiss group with the design for "Miss Hong's Rib Porridge" restaurant won first prize, second prize went to the design "Ba Thin Sticky Rice and Sweet Soup" and third prize for "Bao Khanh Rice Rolls." All designs agreed to be used by the store owners will be sponsored for actual production and installation at the stores.

The contest organizers hope this will be a community playground. The aim is to promote creative thinking and real-life experience for young people passionate about design and communication. The challenge is also to enhance and promote Vietnamese culture - especially as Vietnamese dishes resonate and are recognized in the international arena./.
