A delegation from the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, led by Deputy Minister D.Jalagania, is in Vietnam from March 6-9 on a working visit.
The delegation attended a political consultation at the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and has been working with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).
During the meetings, the officials from Georgia and their Vietnamese counterparts briefed each other on their countries’ current situation and discussed issues of common concern.
The sides focused their discussions on how to foster cooperation in economics-commerce and education-training; stepping up cooperation agreements in customs procedures and avoiding double taxation; exchanging ideas on international and regional issues, and boosting cooperation between the two ministries of foreign affairs.
Jalagania affirmed that developing relations with Vietnam is important to Georgia, and expressed his hope to strengthen and enhance the traditional friendship between the two countries.-VNA
