A get-together themed, “ Vietnam in my eyes” was held in Bangkok , Thailand on June 1 to mark the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Thailand and Vietnam .
The event drew the participation of officials and representatives from Thailand ’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Thailand-Vietnam Culture Association, the Vietnamese Embassy and numerous Overseas Vietnamese in Thailand .
Speaking at the meeting, Vietnamese Ambassador Ngo Duc Thang highlighted the positive development of Vietnam-Thailand relations in recent years, expressing his hopes that the relations will be further strengthened in the fields of politics, diplomacy, security and defence, economics, investment, tourism, society, culture and education.
During the event, participants enjoyed cordial talks about Vietnam-Thailand relations and the presentation of 100 photos of Vietnam ’s landscapes taken by Thai visitors during visits to the country.
They also watched a TV program about Overseas Vietnamese, as well as ethnic minority groups living in Vietnam, produced by Thai film-makers and screened on Thai PBS, the public broadcasting service of Thailand./.
