The guest said ICAP’s six-dayvisit to Vietnam from April 7 is to discuss with the Vietnam Union ofFriendship Organisations (VUFO) and relevant Vietnamese agencies Cuba’ssocio-economic development, foreign investment law as well as theorganisation of the seventh Asia-Pacific Regional Conference forSolidarity with Cuba to be held in Vietnam next year.

ViceChairman of the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Association Nguyen Duy Cuong andVietnamese participants at the event affirmed Vietnam’s solidarity withCuba to tighten traditional ties and promote effectiveness incooperation between VUFO and ICAP in common international activities andmutual support in the coming time.

Earlier, VUFO Chairman VuXuan Hong received the Cuban delegation, reviewing the comprehensivecooperation between the two sides. They confirmed the two organisations’coordination mechanisms and discussed methods for experience sharingand working to organise international peace and solidarity activities.-VNA

Public order crime drops 22.55% in first half

In the field of economic crime, 2,096 cases involving 4,194 suspects were prosecuted in the first half. For corruption and position-related crimes, 370 cases and 1,042 suspects were brought to trial. Meanwhile, police uncovered 11,687 drug-related cases involving 22,863 individuals.

Thai Princess Award Foundation strengthens education ties with Vietnam

Youth volunteers support operation of local administration model, online public services

The programme prioritises 286 remote border communes, wards and special areas, where coordination between local youth units is seen as crucial. Volunteers are deployed across three main functions: supporting officials with administrative procedures, helping people and businesses submit online applications and payments, and offering digital training through creative models such as mobile tech clinics and grassroots tech groups.
