The event was jointly organised bythe Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations, the Ministry of ForeignAffairs, and the Vietnam-Brazil Friendship and Cooperation Association(VBFCA).
Addressing the function, VBFCA PresidentNguyen Van Lang and Assistant to the Foreign Minister Nguyen Ngoc Sonnoted with pleasure the development of the Vietnam-Brazil relationship,saying it has been fostered and consolidated by generations of the twocountries’ leaders and people over the past more than two decades.
Lang took the occasion to thank the Brazilian Government and peoplefor their support for Vietnam during the past struggle for nationalindependence as well as the current national construction anddevelopment.
Two-way trade between Vietnam andBrazil reached 2.33 billion USD in 2013, up 42 percent against theprevious year, and is expected to expand another 42 percent this year.-VNA
