Misterious beauty of Va Cave in Quang Binh province. (Photo: organising board) Hanoi (VNA) – “The Convergence of Humans and Nature” is the themeof the Green Heritage Culture Tourism Week which is running at the VietnamExhibition Centre for Culture and Arts at No.2 Hoa Lu Street in Hanoi.
The November 21-23 event aims to celebrate Vietnam Heritage Day (November 23).Along with popularising Vietnamese culture and tourism, the week also aims toraise public awareness about environmental and biodiversity protection.
A kaleidoscopic patchwork of Vietnam’s natural heritage will be introduced atthe “Impressions of Vietnamese Natural Heritage Sites” exhibition whichfeatures bio-diversity, typical cultures and local livelihoods in tandem withthe environment.
The exhibition also honours the traditional values of ethnic minority groups inlocalities along the Cau river, including Bac Can, Thai Nguyen, Vinh Phuc, BacGiang, Bac Ninh and Hai Duong.
Additionally, 100 photos from the Vietnam Heritage Photo Awards 2017 will beexhibited. They were selected from 2,479 entries submitted by 66 photographersnationwide, capturing nature, life, and tangible and intangible cultural heritages.
A local exhibition zone at the event introduces values of natural heritagesites, especially those recognised by UNESCO as world natural heritages like HaLong Bay (Quang Ninh province), Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park (Quang Binhprovince), Trang An Landscape Complex (Ninh Binh province), Cat Ba BiosphereReserve (Hai Phong city) and Cat Tien Biosphere Reserve (Dong Nai province).
The move also helps popularise local tourism.
Other activities held in the framework of the week are “Children with Natural Heritage”painting festival and the “Youth with Natural Heritage” contest.-VNA
