Green human resources in focus

A programme to develop green human resources, the first of its kind in Vietnam, was launched on June 27 in Hanoi by the Bureau for Safe Work under the Ministry of Labours, Invalids and Social Affairs and the Magazine of Labour and Social Affairs.

Theprogramme is intended to promote the development of human resourcestowards sustainability and effectiveness among people and organisations.

It is also expected to increase corporateawareness of ensuring interests for workers, and improve theattractiveness of Vietnam’s business environment.

During the event, several individuals and enterprises were honoured fortheir outstanding contribution to quality human resources developmentand excellence duty to ensure health, safety and welfare of theworkers.-VNA

OVs in Thailand preserve cultural legacy

The Vietnamese community in Sakaeo province, Thailand has maintained traditional practices, from wearing Ao dai (traditional long dress) during major celebrations to preserving authentic cooking methods, heard a recent meeting between Vietnamese Ambassador Pham Viet Hung and the overseas Vietnamese (OV) as part of the diplomat’s visit to the locality.

Dien Bien provides training for northern Lao cadres

Additional training sessions will be conducted at local educational institutions to help participants improve professional skills and the capability of using teaching technology, meeting the training needs of cadres from northern Lao provinces.
