Ha Long Bay among world’s leading natural and trending destinations
According to the 2024 list of the world’s top 25 destinations from online travel platform TripAdvisor, Vietnam’s World Natural Heritage Site Ha Long Bay ranked second in the top 25 nature destinations and third in the 25 trending destinations worldwide.
Thanks to its unique natural beauty, Vietnam’s Ha Long Bay was listed among the 51 most beautiful destinations in the world by luxury and lifestyle travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler in October.
Environmental protection is viewed as a focal, consistent, and priority task during the management, preservation, and sustainable promotion of the world natural heritage site of Ha Long Bay.
The Vietnamese homepage of tech giant Google on December 17 featured a doodle of Ha Long Bay to mark the 29th anniversary of UNESCO's recognition of the bay as a World Heritage Site.
Welcoming 2.6 million visitors annually, Ha Long Bay in Vietnam was ranked fourth among the 10 most-visited natural wonders in the world in a survey published in December by the US-based magazine The Travel.
The northern coastal province of Quang Ninh served 170,000 visitors during the New Year holiday (December 30, 2023 – January 1, 2024), up 60% year-on-year.
The tourism industry in 2024 has seen positive signals as ocean liners have bustled at ports for the past 10 days, bringing tens of thousands of foreign visitors to Vietnam.
