Hai Phong (VNA) – The Hai Phong EconomicZone Authority (HEZA) on September 13 launched its management and operationsystem (e-HEZA).

The system is set to make it easer for the HEZA in themanagement work, while helping to reform administrative procedures, thusimproving administration reform index of the authority.

Through the system, it takes only one day to complete thegrant of licences instead of up to 20 days in the past. The system alsoshortens the timing of data reports by enterprises.

Le Anh Quan, Vice Chairman of the municipal People’sCommittee, said the launch of the system has mirrored the HEZA’s strongdetermination to complete its assigned tasks.

The application of information-technology and digital transformationwill contribute to raising the operational efficiency of the authority, and turning HaiPhong into an investment magnet, he said.

Quan asked the HEZA to coordinate with businesses intraining officials in charge of the system, and ensure information security.

In the 2021-2025 period, the northern port city of HaiPhong plans to construct 15 new industrial parks with a total area of over6,200 hectares.

Last year, the city ranked seventh out of 63 provincesand cities nationwide in the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI), and secondout of 11 provinces and cities in the Red River Delta region./.
