Hai Phong (VNA) - Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang presented the First-Class Independence Order to Thuy Nguyen District in the northern port city of Hai Phong at a ceremony held on October 22 to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the uprising Thuy Nguyen (October 25).
Addressing the event, Secretary of Hai Phong City Party Committee Le Tien Chau emphasised that the Party Committee, administration, armed forces, and people of the city are making efforts to overcome difficulties and challenges, actively and successfully implementing the Party's Resolutions as well as the important political task of establishing a city under Hai Phong in Thuy Nguyen District before 2025.
The task of building and developing Thuy Nguyen District into a city under Hai Phong before 2025 is very important, with many difficulties and challenges but also an honour and great opportunity for the development of the district, he said.
Secretary Chau also noted that Hai Phong will continue to direct and focus resources to promote construction and urban development, forming modern new urban areas, as well as other industrial, urban, and service park development projects in Thuy Nguyen in the coming time./.
