Hanoi has put into use a new facility for leprosy inpatients in the suburban district of Quoc Oai, which was built at a cost of 30 billion VND (around 1.5 million USD) paid by the municipal coffers.

The 18-room facility, part of the inpatient department under the Ha Dong Dermatology Centre, was built to replace an old treatment centre in Soc Son district.

Nine patients moved from Soc Son to the new treatment place on June 6, and the remaining patients will be transferred later.
