This activity has been held by the Community Disaster Prevention Fund for six years, but this year it comes with a twist. It is being held at an elementary school to show the pupils how to wrap chung cake, a kind of traditional cake whenever Tet comes, to send them to their peers in disadvantaged areas.
Under the guidance of volunteers and teachers, one by one chung cakes roll off the production line. The activity not only helps the students understand more about the beauty of the traditional New Year, but also teaches them love and empathy.
After the activity, thousands of chung cakes will be sent directly to disadvantaged children in upland areas.
Tet is coming. Chung cakes full of love sent by Hanoi students will reach children in far-flung areas so that they can all share a warm Tet holiday./.
