The Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park (HHTP) is calling for projects on researching, applying and developing advanced technologies in a bid to help foster hi-tech industries nationwide.

At the park’s investment and trade promotion event on August 24, deputy head of the HHTP Management Board Nguyen Trung Quynh said investors will be offered incentives stors on corporate income, export-import and added value taxes.

He noted that infrastructure in the park has been completed with water supply and drainage systems, internal roads, and electricity and telecommunication facilities.

Quynh also highlighted the efficient application of the single-window mechanism in the HHTP and stressed that investors could make customs declaration, banking services, intellectual property and logistics services right at the park.

At the event, which was part of Hanoi’s investment promotion conference, Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen The Thao said Hanoi will focus on attracting investments that could enhance technological transfers, especially high and source technologies, create many jobs, foster export, generate high-quality personnel, and develop infrastructure, support industries and quality services.

Within the framework of the conference, the HHTP signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) with the goal of turning the park into a smart city favourable for enterprise innovation and creation and facilitating companies specialising in the hi-tech sector.

The HHTP will popularise the VCCI’s business development support services to companies operating in the park while the VCCI will help attract domestic and foreign projects and offer assistance to business activities there.

The HTTP was founded in 1998 to develop hi-tech research, training, manufacturing and product trading. Located on a 1,500ha site accross Hanoi's Thach That and Quoc Oai districts, it now employs more than 10,000 labourers.

It became a member of the Asian Science Park Association in 2008 and a member of ASPA's Management Board in 2010.-VNA
